ArtisChroma FAQ

Current information on the art, editions, materials, ordering, framing, delivery, patron credits, and hotel placements.

Materials and authenticity

How are the prints made?
Every work is produced as a giclée print on museum- and gallery-quality archival Hahnemühle paper. Giclée printing uses archival pigment inks to reproduce fine detail and a wide range of colour.
Which Hahnemühle papers do you use?
Paper is chosen for each artist and work. The current catalogue uses Hahnemühle Photo Rag, Photo Rag Pearl, and German Etching. The exact paper appears on each edition page and in the checkout description.
What does signed in plate mean?
The artist signs the plate the edition is printed from, so every print carries the signature exactly as the artist drew it. It avoids sending every finished print to and from the artist for hand-signing, reducing transport while keeping the signature consistent across the edition.
What comes on the certificate of authenticity?
The signed certificate records the artist, work, your specific edition number, and ArtisChroma gallery information. It should be kept with the print. For why the certificate matters when you buy any print, see why limited-edition prints are worth more.
Why print to order?
Production begins after an order is placed, rather than drawing from warehouse stock. This avoids excess inventory and lets us manage each numbered edition against its stated limit.

Ordering, framing, and delivery

How do I order a print?
Open an edition, choose an available size and framing option, then add it to your cart and complete payment at checkout. Available payment methods are shown there.
Do you offer framing?
Yes. Available editions can be ordered unframed or in a black, white, or oak frame with acrylic glazing. The framed price is shown beside each option. Framed orders always carry a shipping charge.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to a selected group of countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. Enter your delivery address at checkout to confirm whether we currently ship to your destination and to see the shipping charge.
Can I track my order?
Tracking is sent to the email address used for the order once the print leaves the studio. For help with an order, email gallery@artischroma.com.
Can I return a print for a refund?
Every print is printed to order as part of a numbered edition. We do not accept change-of-mind returns, refunds, or exchanges. We accept returns for defective products only and provide replacements as described in our returns policy.
What if my order arrives damaged or is incorrect?
Email gallery@artischroma.com with your order details, photographs, and an explanation. Keep the print and its packaging while we review the issue. For defective prints, we will tell you whether a return is required; depending on the defect, it may not be. If required, you pay the return shipping. The replacement print and its shipping are provided at no additional cost. If you received the wrong print, contact us so we can correct the order.
How should I care for the print?
Handle an unframed print by its edges with clean, dry hands. Use acid-free mounting materials and UV-protective glazing, and keep the work away from direct sunlight, moisture, and large changes in humidity.

Commissions, hotels, and patron credits

Can I request another size or commission new work?
Yes, subject to the artist, source file, and edition structure. Use the commissions enquiry for a different size of an existing work or a new piece made for your space.
Do you work with hotels, restaurants, cafés, and interior projects?
Yes. We help you choose a collection from ArtisChroma’s artists, select available print sizes and frame finishes, and add QR plaques so guests can purchase prints of their own. Email gallery@artischroma.com to arrange a meeting about your space. See the hospitality program.
What happens when I scan an ArtisChroma code in a hotel?
The code opens the displayed work, or a related part of the collection, so you can read about it and order from your phone. A participating hotel may earn commission from purchases attributed to its placement.
How do patron credits work?
A patron's monthly payment becomes gallery credit for editions at patron prices. Credits roll over and can be gifted to someone else, but they cannot be refunded. Patron membership can be cancelled at any time. Online enrolment is not yet open; current terms are on the patron page.
How does ArtisChroma support its artists?
Artists receive a royalty from print sales under their agreement with the gallery. ArtisChroma handles the online catalogue, print production, fulfilment, and hospitality placements for the editions it represents.
